Carin Holroyd is a graduate of the University of British Columbia, Chaminade University of Honolulu and the Japan American Institute of Management Science at Sophia University, Tokyo, and has a Ph.D. from the University of Waikato, New Zealand. She has published extensively on issues related to Japanese trade and investment, and lectured at universities in Canada (New Brunswick, Northern British Columbia, and Bishop's) as well as in Japan and New Zealand.
